Spring Steps: From High End to High Street

As spring is officially 14 days away, we can look forward to the rebirth, renewal and regrowth of our wardrobes! Haute-fly has compiled a catalogue of reviews of the top high street brands and their takes on the current climates and customs of the high end designers. So sit back and sun yourself...

Arieta Mujay, PR Manager and Stylist for High Street store River Island reveals the capsule collections for this year's SS11 trends.

Seventies Bohemia
Channelling the likes of Matthew Williamson and Charles Anastace, this collection combines the looks of Commune, Nomad and Summer Shop. It provides a sense of laid back glamour with muted khaki tones added to the cloth cut.

            Nomad

Toffee and tan and an earthy colour palette alongside sheer peasant blouses and high waist suede trousers give this nomadic influence a safe simplicity.Very Twenty8Twelve!

Tailor Made

Think sharp yet sporty  with over sized blazers, comfy harem pants and the all important stiletto. This SS11 relax with the sports luxe look.

The Flare

This SS, the biggest summer trend is all about That 70's Show! Dress like a young Mila Kunis in casual capes, floral kimonos, peasant sheer blouses and kick flares. Think House of Holland SS11...

          Power Dressing

A personal preverence for Haute-fly. Although think more 60s than 80s with box shapes, Peter Pan dresses, topknots and  a sugary pastel palette.

What will you be selecting this season?
